Andrea Archer

Mrs. Archer is a retired Deputy Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Health. She faithfully served her country for over thirty-five years in the fields of community nursing, social work, education, and administration. During her years of service, Mrs. Archer contributed significantly to the development of Bahamian youths and the Bahamas as a whole. Among her many accomplishments includes: the implementation of school social work in special education schools and programmes for at risk school age students, co-author of the S.U.R.E. Programme for Delinquent Boys (1990), and the establishment of the P.A.C.E. Programme. Within the community Mrs. Arthur served as a board member for the Bahamas Red Cross Society, Council on Alcoholism, The Bahamas Plays and Emergency Hostel, and Women’s Aglow.
